The greatest player in the history of Dutch soccer has joined the pack of critics who say the Netherlands deserved to lose the World Cup final because of their dirty style of play. Johan Cruyff is regarded by many as the greatest European player ever and in one poll finished second to Pele as the greatest player of the last century. But he was unhappy with his nation’s aggressive play in the 1-0 loss to Spain.
Writing in the Spanish newspaper El Periodico, Cruyff said:
“They didn’t want the ball and regrettably, sadly, they played in a very dirty fashion. So much so that they should have been down to nine immediately, then they made two such ugly and hard tackles that even I felt the damage. “This ugly, vulgar, hard, hardly eye-catching, hardly football style – yes, it served the Dutch to unsettle Spain. If they got satisfaction from this then fine, but they ended up losing. “They were playing anti-football.”

I guess in the end, Germany is like Brazil, when pressured, they can’t perform like they did in previous games. Congratulations to Spain on their victory over Germany 1-0. Spain was doubted going against a very intimidating and monster of a team like Germany, but the Euro Cup 2008 1-0 win repeated itself. Germany had dominated nasty in the previous games destroying Argentina, but their cup title came to an end facing a team that could match their speed. I can already see the haters on CNN.com hahahah…. A big thank you to Pual the Octopus who predicted Spain with the win. Thank God that Mick Jagger was going for Germany, Lol…

Congratulations to Uruguay on the victory over Ghana in penalty kicks 1(4) – 1(2). Even if you are not a soccer fan, it was an ending that will make in the books as one of the craziest and greatest ending ever in World Cup history. What looked like a red card penalty card that would seal the win for Ghana, Asamoah Gyan misses the penalty kick sending the game into penalty kicks. Lets go Uruguay!!!

“We believe we can beat any team in this tournament. Given our experiences from last year [at the Confederations Cup] we think we can do really big things, we’re going to go for it,” the 28-year-old told CNN.

Donovan, looks like you should have kept your mouth shut about beating anybody. Unless you hold a cup title, you have no right saying that shit. The curse will now haunt you forever. Atleast the women’s soccer team are champs, LoL.

Looks like Ghana repeats the 2006 World Cup 2-1 victory again in 2010. Kevin Prince & Asamoah Gyan sent the USA team packing early once again. Perhaps this was a curse due to Donovan’s interview saying they could beat anybody. Anybody but the mighty speed & skills of Ghana.
